About Subbu Creatives
I’m Subramani, the founder of Subbu Creatives. From my school days, I have been passionate about art — drawing, sketching, and painting have always been a big part of my life. Over time, this passion led me to explore the world of digital art. After graduating and learning about digital art platforms, I officially started Subbu Creatives on January 1, 2017, with a vision to create customized portraits for people who value unique, hand-crafted artwork.
What is Digital Painting?
Digital painting is the process of creating artwork digitally using a computer, while applying traditional painting methods such as acrylics, oils, watercolors, ink, pastels, and charcoal. Unlike computer-generated art, digital painting does not rely on automated rendering — instead, it is created manually by the artist using digital tools, much like painting on a physical canvas.
My Process & Tools
I use Adobe Photoshop as my primary tool for digital painting. The software offers a wide range of brushes and effects that closely mimic traditional media such as oils, acrylics, pastels, charcoal, pens, and even airbrush techniques. In addition, digital painting allows the creation of custom brushes, combining different textures and shapes, which helps bridge the gap between traditional and digital art.
Every portrait I create is crafted using digital painting techniques, blending creativity, precision, and the timeless beauty of traditional art with the flexibility of modern technology.
